Warthogs Are Mostly Herbivorous.

Despite their intimidating, predator-like appearance, warthogs eat a mostly herbivorous diet and prefer grazing on leafy plants and grassy shrubs or digging for tubers; they will also sometimes eat sinewy tree fibers. However, they are officially classified as omnivores, because they also eat insects and worms, and during times of drought or food scarcity, they will sometimes scavenge from dead animal carcasses.
