UV radiation is responsible for the temperature changes present in the Stratosphere, a layer of Earth’s atmosphere that stretches from roughly 7.5 to 31 miles above the planet’s surface. Due to UV radiation from the Ozone Layer, which is contained within the Stratosphere, the temperature in this atmospheric layer increases in tandem with elevation.
