There Are 2 Types of Igneous Rocks.

Igneous rocks form when molten rock crystallizes and solidifies. There are 2 types: intrusive and extrusive. Intrusive (plutonic) igneous rocks form from magma that cools slowly and remains deep below the Earth’s surface. Extrusive (volcanic) igneous rocks form from magma that rises to the Earth’s surface and cools above (or very close to) the Earth's surface.
