The Loudest Animal on Earth Is a Whale.

The Antarctic Blue Whale (Balaenoptera musculus ssp. Intermedia) is the loudest animal on Earth. Its calls reach 188 decibels — in comparison, jet engines reach 140 decibels. The Antarctic Blue Whales’ low-frequency whistle is audible for hundreds of miles and is likely used to attract others of its species.
