The Abyssopelagic Zone Is Extremely Dark and Cold.

The Abyssopelagic Zone, sometimes called the Abyssal Zone, is a section of the ocean that extends from 4,000 meters to 6,000 meters deep (13,100 to 19,700 ft.). It is pitch-black and receives no light. The temperature is constantly near freezing, the pressure is crushing, and very few creatures are able to live in this harsh environment.
