Staghorn Ferns Are Epiphytes.

Staghorn Ferns are epiphytes, meaning that they use other plants — in this case, trees — as hosts. This gives them more light than non-epiphyte ferns that are restricted to the forest floor. However, Staghorn Ferns don’t take resources from their host, rather, they get their nutrients from the surrounding air and rain.
