Snow Geese are largely herbivorous and consume the seeds, leaves, and roots of many wild grasses, sedges, bulrushes, and related flora. In the fall, berries become an important part of a Snow Goose’s diet while waste grain in agricultural fields becomes central in winter. Very young goslings sometimes eat insect larvae.
