Red Pandas Climb Down Trees Headfirst.

Red pandas are one of the only animals that can climb down trees headfirst. This is because they have extremely flexible ankles. More specifically, their fibula and tibia are attached in a way that allows their feet to rotate an impressive 180 degrees! This helps their curved claws grip the tree bark extra securely, facilitating their impressive headfirst movements.
