Papyrus Flowers Don’t Have Petals.

Papyrus flowers do not have petals but instead resemble husks. When pollinated by the wind, the flowers morph into nut-like fruits that drop into the water and drift to a new location, where they sink and sprout a new plant. Papyrus once played a key role in the Nile River ecosystem, but is largely absent from it today due to human development.
