Ocean Currents Are Driven by Thermohaline Circulation.

Ocean currents are determined by several factors, including thermohaline circulation, a process driven by water density differences that occur due to the varying temperature and salinity levels in different parts of the ocean. Currents driven by thermohaline circulation occur in both shallow and deep water. Notably, they tend to move much more slowly than tidal or surface currents.
