Matschie’s Tree Kangaroos have thick fur that is reddish-mahogany in back with a darker stripe down the center, yellow near the limbs, feet, and ears, and white or cream on their faces. Their fur helps insulate them against damp weather and the whorls on their backs even allow water to run right off their bodies, while the color of their fur helps them camouflage in their environment.
