Mangrove Snakes have large eyes with narrow, vertical slits, similar to those of a cat. This eye structure allows the snakes to see better at night, when they are active and on the hunt for food. Because of their unique eyes, they are sometimes referred to as Yellow-Ringed Cat Snakes.
