Kittens Have Baby Teeth.

Just like humans, kittens have baby teeth, also known as deciduous teeth. Kittens have a total of 26 baby teeth — 12 incisors, 4 canines, and 10 pre-molars. A kitten’s first set of teeth start to show up at around 2 – 3 weeks of age. They begin to fall out soon after and by 6 months old, most domestic cats will have all of their adult teeth. Adult cats typically have 30 permanent teeth, though some may have less due to infection or injury.
