Hyperion Is Heavily Cratered.

Hyperion, one of Saturn’s moons, is heavily cratered, so much so that its surface has a distinctly punched-in appearance that’s similar to a sponge. Planetary geologists theorize that the moon has likely been cratered more by compression than excavation. Notably, the walls of Hyperion’s many craters are noticeably bright, suggesting the presence of water ice.
