Flamingos Eat Upside Down.

Flamingos are filter feeders whole place their heads upside down in the water to eat. They sweep their submerged, upside-down heads side-to-side, using their tongues to move water in and out of their bills. Comb-like plates along the edges of their bills create a filter so that water exits their mouths but food like algae, small seeds, and tiny crustaceans says inside for them to eat.
