Cirrocumulus clouds are thin, sheet-like clouds that reside high up in the atmosphere. They sometimes look grainy or patchy or like they’re filled with ripples. They usually accompany fair but cold weather. However, in tropical regions, these clouds can sometimes signal an approaching hurricane.
