Cattails Function as Habitats.

Cattails are found along marshes, ponds, and lakes all over the world and are known for their distinctive appearance, but they also play several important roles in the ecosystem. Redwing Blackbirds, ducks, and geese all make nests in cattail groves. Some birds also use cattail seed fluff to line their nests. Additionally, cattails help prevent erosion and filter contaminants.
