Black Tree Monitors Have Very Long Tails.

Black Tree Monitors have extremely long prehensile tails that they use to help them climb trees. They generally measure 3 – 4 feet long, with most of that length being accounted for by their tails. They are related to Komodo Dragons, but unlike their larger compatriots, Black Tree Monitors are protective of their tails and do not use them to fight.
