Baltimore Orioles Make Impressive Hanging Nests.

Female Baltimore Orioles weave together foraged fibers like grass, weeds, animal hairs, and pieces of string to create an impressive, basket-like hanging nest. Oriole nests typically take 5 – 8 days to complete and are usually located on the outer parts of sturdy branches. They are so well constructed that birds returning from their winter migration can sometimes reuse the same nests.
