Ball’s Pyramid is the tallest volcanic sea stack in the world. It stands at roughly 1,844 feet high and is home to just a few living things, including a patch of a spindly melaleuca bush (Melaleuca howeana) and a small population of Lord Howe Island stick insects (Dryococelus australis).
