American Golden Plovers Breed in the Arctic.

American Golden Plovers breed in the Arctic tundra of northern Canada and Alaska. They spend their winters in the lower half of South America, particularly on the pampas of Argentina and the campos of Uruguay. Notably, young born in the tundra make the journey south alone, usually a little later in the season than their parents. American Golden Plovers are some of the most widely traveled birds in the world.
